I was so smitten by the Country I wanted to speak like an American, walk like an American and even dress like one. That was then, back then.

Now in 2011 I do not want to be a part of item, I really want my distance away from the Country I once loved. The leaders are so divided, the people call each other names and look at each other through partizan eyes. No-one trusts anyone, neighbors have abandoned each other and do not care about each other. America seems to be on the down hill and if it does not turn around it will crush and burn. Greece was a failure, America will be like a Goliath falling and the crush will be heavy and will hurt if America does not come together fast.

No one party has solutions and should even think that they can go at it alone.

Context is Important

Context is very important, it is the base of a good understanding. I am a Christian to the core, I was born and raised in a Christian family and I do know how us Christians love to quote the half of scriptures that appeal to our positions. I have heard, seen and been around people who read the part that addresses what they want and not go further to the part that does not support their position.

When we read, be it scripture, novels, articles and yes even blogs as this one, it is very important to get the full context of what the writer meant rather than what we want him or her to mean. It is not beneficial to read half a sentence and stop before you reach the period in that paragraph. Imagine getting half instructions on a matter of importance, what would it benefit you?

The biggest story in the Bible that has been read in part and not as it was intended is the story of Ruth & Boaz. Wedding vows are centred on Ruth and Naomi, some take the Ruth Boaz relationship just around the part they met and that is all the concentrate on. It is a full wholesome story which needs everyone to understand it for what it is and how it is supposed to be delivered.

Boaz did not find Ruth where she was supposed to be, he found her where she wanted to be. Ruth had made very deliberate choice to stay with her mother-in-law when her husband had passed away, she clung to Naomi and I would want to think that she clung to her for two reasons. The first being that Naomi was now alone and the second in that she had seen something in Naomi that made her want to stay with her no matter what the situation was.

In Ruth 1 v 16 & 17 it reads

But Ruth said:

“ Entreat me not to leave you,
Or to turn back from following after you;
For wherever you go, I will go;
And wherever you lodge, I will lodge;
Your people shall be my people,
And your God, my God.

Where you die, I will die,
And there will I be buried.
The LORD do so to me, and more also,
If anything but death parts you and me.”

This tells me that she wanted to cling to Naomi, she had made a choice and was sticking to it. Immediately following this when they had returned to Naomi’s people, Ruth Chapter 2 vs 1 & 2 read

1 There was a relative of Naomi’s husband, a man of great wealth, of the family of Elimelech. His name was Boaz.

2 So Ruth the Moabitess said to Naomi, “Please let me go to the field, and glean heads of grain after him in whose sight I may find favour.”
And she said to her, “Go, my daughter.”

3 Then she left, and went and gleaned in the field after the reapers. And she happened to come to the part of the field belonging to Boaz, who was of the family of Elimelech.

Ruth was not compelled to go to the field, she made a choice and her choice ashed a new season in her life. She wanted to be in the field, she was not summoned, forced or manipulated to be in the field but made an effort herself, she had no idea whose field she would be working but just went.

Lastly I would want to think that Ruth was a friend of the bathroom, well groomed, clean and pleasant to look at. Boaz was attracted to her, she stood out amongst all who were in the field such that Boaz had to ask after her. Context is very important, get it always.

The Process is important for a good outcome

My dad always told me that when I have a flawed thought process then the outcome will have distorted results. Your results for anything in life are tied to how you address and approach that particular situation.

In dating, the approach you use to find a girl will determine how and what results you get in terms of your marriage. You cannot wonder how your marriage failed when you picked a girl from the bar when you were drunk and the girl was as good as naked and you cannot recall how you ended in bed. You have to have a deliberate process that you go through in reaching a conclusion or answers to the issues and challenges in life.

The Process is not static, it is not written in stone that it cannot be changed, no. It is a series of things that you do or go through in order to achieve a desired outcome. When I have to make a decision on a matter about my son I ask myself what the issue is, how will it affect my son, how it will affect the family and how many options I have as a solution.I use this process always, sometimes I can change a few things in that thought process but the frame of the process remains the same.

The process is important for a good outcome, a good process will always give a delightful outcome and a bad or flawed process will bring less desirable result. think seriously on how you approach situation and what process you use, you results are tied to that process.

Success

To understand what it means to be successful is to be fulfilled and to understand what it means to be healthy both internally and externally. Many have described success in varying forms and ways, I would like to describe success as "a step higher than the last".

Let me explain that a little more. I was born in a mediocre family, my father had never been on a plane, never travelled out of his country of birth, worked four jobs to support his family and hardly had friends. I have been on a plane uncountable times, I have lived on three continents, six different countries, I only work one job to take care of my family and have a huge number of friends, I consider myself successful. I might not be a millionaire, I may not be a CEO or a COO but I have all I need, I know where I have come from and I know what steps I need to get me to a different stage and each stage higher than the one before is a success.

We are all not born in families like the Trumps, the Gates or Madonna and so we have to know and set our boundaries and priorities of what success is for us. The bottom line is that we have to know where we are and plot a way forward and set markers of where we want to reflect of the success we want to see. Its all about knowing where you are and where you want to go, plot markers and take account as you follow that plot.

In a nutshell, success is not an outrageous attainment of wealth, money or resources, it is a definable step and a clear goal that anyone who sets can achieve. Go and be successful.

Class warfare

So let me get this straight, the entire Global system and the operations of a country are brought to their knees by a number of individuals known to the Government and the Nation but nothing is done to punish them. To correct the situation the answer is go after those that helped the culprits by screwing them to the born.

Let me speak clearly on the lessons I have learnt from the Conservatives

1. If you screw up and you are a Corporation you deserve help & to keep your contracted bonus
2. Corporations will get the full cover of any Republican in power
3. Teachers & anyone in a Union get another job because Republicans don't like you
4. Its okay for the teachers to sacrifice not CEO in the private sector
5. Tax cuts are for Corporations not working people
6 Fox News only supports people who create jobs and support their campaigns not the middle class.

It does not make sense to say that the Wall Street guys had bonuses therefore the bonus must be honored but for the Teachers who took pay cuts over the year and were promised the benefits instead, well that contract should not be honored. Who cares about teachers contracts and union workers, they support the Democrats so to hell with them right?

Tell me this, why should teachers be paid just $51000.00 a year when they are responsible for bring p the CEOs that run Wall Street? If what is going on in Wisconsin is truly about the budget then here is something for the Governor to Consider

1. To balance a budget in a recession needs time
2. You cannot balance the budget withe low revenues to the Government.
3. Raise taxes on Corporations not the consumers

It is a ruthless to take money from hard working people and give it to big Corporations all in the name to jobs and yet the people you give the money to do not invest it back into the system. Do not punish the tax payer.

Middle East vs The Classic West

World leaders have hit the overdrive button trying to gather information and how to deal with the unrest in the Middle East, what some call Diplomacy is not hard at work thinking how to get Libya stable. As the saying goes ” Everyone has a dog in the race” and the people who have no dogs in the race suffer great pain.

America is in support of the people, well at least that is what they are saying publicly. What gets under my skin the most is how the choosing of who deserves support is derived. I used to be of the school of thought that the selection is arrived by looking at humanitarian grounds and assisting those under oppressive regimes, I was so wrong. The question everyone asks is “what benefit will we get is we support these people”?

Is it a coincidence that the Countries that many a great nation intervene and help are rich with resources like say um oil? Lets go back in time, President Bush Sr had the first Gulf War and guess what Kuwait has, yap, oil. Iraq and now Libya, is it because someone really cares about the people? Let me be clear, Somalia, Ethiopia, Zimbabwe, Sudan, Congo and many other African Nations have suffered a great deal and required help from America and the World over but they hardly make the news with the exception of the Pirate issues off the Somalian coast that make the headlines.

In 2007 President Bush Jr gave Mugabe an ultimatum and guess what, it was a well crafted speech so that the World can hear some political wise statement to protect himself from backlash. Mugabe is still in power and is pulling every single ounce of power he has to make trouble for the Libyan people.

Last Week Mugabe allegedly provided army support staff for embattled Libyan leader. With a Military that can out fight any nation out there and the best trained African fighter jet pilots at his disposal, Mugabe sent out enough personal to make sure trouble & terror remain on the streets of Libya. What disappoints me the most is the fact that Hillary Clinton and the American leaders can actually entertain letting Gaddafi move to Zimbabwe just so that Libya is free.

Instead of putting pressure on all who would want to harbor this brutal man including Mugabe, the idea is on the table for Gaddafi to ease into Zimbabwe. Its time all these so called Presidents who support dictators account for their stupid political games. You cannot be against a dictator who does not do what you want so that you can usher in one you can control, if you are for Democracy stop supporting those who do wrong to people. Mubarak, Gaddafi and many more have been friends of the West at one point when they were brutalizing their own people. Evil is evil no what who carries it out or the degree of how intense it is.

Aide

With the uprising in Egypt comes the review of aide that the US gives, why is the question. I suppose with Mubaraki being a debatable figure why support the people right, my thoughts would be to suspend all aide.

Yes the US has been supporting many nations and has very good friends in Israel and Egypt but lets face it, the US is broke. Over and over we hear that the US is the greatest economy but what many fail or afraid to say is that being the great economy does not make it the richest. The Country is in debt and borrowing to support other nations is not doing the taxpayers any favors. Many politicians state that families are have to do with little and readjust their budgets, well its time the Government make tough choices

Supporting other nations with borrowed money makes as much sense as using an expired passport to travel, at one point someone will detain you. Lets address it as it is, the largest economy simply means they are many consumers in the nation than any other nation, it does not mean that it has the most money. The Country could soon drown in debt, there is a point to say even to friends “sorry I cannot support you, I need to put my house in order” and that is what needs to happen now.

Opinions

The false idea that lingers out there is that just because someone has a show and they have an opinion they are always right. There is nothing more wrong than that assertion, this has been lost in translation.

We have now created a society that believes everything anyone with a megaphones says, we follow the one with the loudest voice even if he/she is wrong It is so true, “in the absence of water in the desert, people will drink sand”. I am by no means primitive and I am surely as clever and bright as they come. You would be ignorant to call me a Liberal and an idiot if you ever thought I was Conservative, let me say that I do not carry a label. I am what I need to be when I need to be defined.

I am taking issue with the Gun issue in America, while I respect each Countries right to be unique and be themselves, they are issues no matter what Country they occur in that need to be addressed in any Country.

A Gun is a very dangerous tool, that is why it is used in wars, it is meant for harm not good. The most amazing thing in America is how the debate is on “if gun laws should be addressed” rather than “why need a gun anyhow”?

For me the fundamental question is why would one need a gun in a Country that is so great? Remember where I grew up, I have never felt at peace each time I visit America and pass through a fight. Its so scary to know that you can buy ammunition in a grocery shop, that is really scary. Who is your enemy? I really wonder what people think a gun is for.

In my books, if you are not a hunter, policemen/women, game ranger or soldier, you have no business carrying a gun. If it is defense in the case of burglary, get an alarm, if the gun is for when you are invaded, join the arm. Why a civilian would want to keep a gun in a free Country is beyond me, I am really not getting a valid reason why people should own guns with the exception of the groups I mentioned above.

Someone told me that America loves war that is why they have a very large army and own guns, then I did not even agree but now I believe it to be true. My vision of America has changes over the years, I am slowly losing respect for how business is done in the States, it does not display the greatness of the Country we all looked up to.

America vs The World

Sometimes the best argument is not the verbal war we have, it is always good to go to stats and read them The notion that America is the best Country is the world would seem plausible because of its size and dominance on all issues in the World. address matters as clear and as honest as possible. It is really easy, there are those on the left and those on the right and very little in between.

Is President Obama unpopular right now, sure he is, he is so unpopular it does not make sense in terms of how he was so popular when he was elected. We have to place this unpopularity into context, people are not working so the easy thing to do is go after the leader. The very nature of his office causes him to have a target on his back and when things don't work the man at the top will get his head chopped off.

Part of the reason Obama is doing so bad is because of the Echo Chamber of the Right Wing that pushes only that which is Conservative and takes anything Progressive to be dirty and evil. Lets not paint all Right Wing Anchors as being for the Republicans, I mean Fox does have liberal Commentators like Alan Colmes. Yah, I know, he is so behind the scenes its almost as if he does not work for Fox.

Bill O'Riley comes out as very reasonable and to be middle ground, but is he? I mean even in fat camp there is a thin one. Yes he is successful and many watch him but that does not mean he is right, it only means many watch him. Being the most watched show is not equal being the most honest. I can without doubt say that everyone on Fox is Right Wing biased, with the exception of Shepard Smith.

Let me give you a clear example, Greta Van Susteren speaking to the Celeb Lawyer going after Whitman now pretends that if a husband acts he is acting on behalf of the family. You cannot pretend that Mr. Whitman did not act on behalf of the family now that he signed something which his wife did not see. Meg Whitman is Mrs. Whitman, her husband by doing something for the household makes decisions for his wife and automatically involves her. Anything to do with their household also includes Mrs. Whitman, no matter if she knew or had no idea.

Lets get matters straight, Fox News is not fair and balanced. If it is, that would be mean they are fair to Conservatives & balanced in the time they report issues and give to Conservatives to push their agenda. Fox is actually Right leaning making them a little not fair and a whole lot biased

My Hero

My hero is little known in Hollywood, he is little known in America or Canada, he is not even well known in the village he was born. Slavery was bad back in the day and whoever says otherwise is an idiot.

Whatever happened back then happened and we have all judged those who praised it and we condemn those responsible. I am not one to support bad behavior and I am also not one to promote foolishness.

Somehow I have managed to make myself sit and watch three Channels at different times so that I can try balance the truth from lies and know who the liars are. I am not an American but I love their Politics. Many people look at the American System as the best Democratic State in the World while this might be true, to me it is far from the perfect system it is made to be. Well, the people only have a voice when it is election year, that is when you get to know who your member of congress is because they are in your hood looking for a vote.

In 2009 I watched Fox News and got to know why America is hated by many. A President might not be perfect but he is still the one in Power and people need to get behind him and constructively criticize him not make him to be a Devil. I have never seen such hatred in my life, not even Mugabe has been demonized the way Obama was characterized on Fox News. How perfect, every guest that was brought in was a Conservative and Fox claims to be fair and balanced, Americans must be blind to believe this.

I am yet to hear anything good about Obama, I know they spend the days looking at what he has done wrong but I fail to see that he has not even one good thing Fox can talk about. I know MSNBC is Pro Obama but they have not made him a God the way he was turned into an evil character by Fox.

I know some claim that the spin stops with their shows but hey, even that is spin too. Keeping leaders accountable is different from making them look evil. My father always told me that greatness is achieved when you can promote the good in your enemy an guard against the bad. It is a sign of weakness to demonize a person and have nothing good to say about them. In an age when respect has gone out of the window, the only thing that is separating us from animals as the human kind is our ability to speak

It is a public secret that Fox is a conservative channel, good, great for them but not all America is conservative. I do not believe that with a population like Americas population you can govern from just one end and afford to get it right. As a leader of such a diverse and different nation, the President must be a a chameleon, change with the situation. There is a time to be liberal and a time to be conservative, there is a time to be moderate and a time to be a hardliner. To call on the President to be just one thing is really being untrue to the diversity of the nation.

In 20101 its time for the people to think for themselves and not feed into this media spin that has become the best way to push political tactics. It should tell you something when the only known analysts on a channel served in one Administration or ran from one Administration and say they were fed up of the party and decided to become independent. You cannot have 50 conservative analysts and 3 liberal analysts and call yourself balanced. You cannot have 10 anchors who are conservatives and one that is liberal and call yourself fair. Wake up people, make sure you work the facts yourself before you are sold a bunch of rubbish as the truth.

The Media is in business for the ratings ad money, mind what they feed you to stay on top.

Politics

We have been lied to for so long and we have let a few people with the nerve and the political skill feed us with a lot of balony. How can a country be devided down political lines the way the USA is right now, really, is that what being a Democratic nation is all about?

Let me get this staight, a President wants to reform the health delivery system of a nation and all of a sudden he wants to "kill grandma" ? If we are to believe this, what it simply means is that he wants to kill his wife's mother, the grand mother of his children, the only living grand mother they have. umm? How can a nation be so gallible, how can people accept this and make it a concern to hold up signs protesting against? I grew up in a "Developing nation" but we were never this gallible, it is shocking that a nation as advanced as America can accept that their own President wants to Kill all elderly people.

You have one side calling out the Presidents head, names have been flying around with Hitlers name being the leader in all that the President is called. I will not go as far as calling the people calling the Preisdent an Hitler as racist but I wonder if Presient Obama was white, would it have been so easy top believe that he wants to kill grandma? I have never seen such an industrious nation show so much ignorance and discord. I know many might call me names and think that I am attacking the great USA but tat is far from the truth, I just want people informed instead of being so publicly misguided.

The strangest thing that I have noticed is that in the great debate for America's health care, the term "Democrats Health Care" has been floated around a lot and no one has asked the question "where is the Republicans bill"? If the Democrats have a stupid plan, is it not up to the Republicans to bring something better if they disagree with the Democrats or is it better to just oppose the other side. Here is something people do not know, politics is a very simple platform made complicated by those who want to keep power, I can qualify my statement by saying politics is the public transport that you ride, the cost of the bread that you eat, the health care that takes care of you not businesses.

Here are some statistics that many Americans do not know;

1. American is not the richest country in the world, based on its GDP, America is ranked 8th with a $48,000 GDP/ Capita
2. America is ranked 6th in the category of Countries with the highest quality of life
3. America is not in the top twenty of countries with the highest life expectancy
4. America has the highest obesity rate of any nation

While many politicians go about saying President Obama wants to socialize America, what they fail to mention is most of the Socialized nations are not that bad. There is actually nothing wrong with a socialized nation, in all the categories above, America trails to socialized nations in many other categories besides the above. The myth that a socialized nation is bad and this demon like character given of socialized nation is a false grasp for those who oppose the President.

Here is something you might know but try to ignore, the Republican leader and Senators who oppose the Presidents Health Care Public Option all have a similar kind of Public Option that their families enjoy. The very sad thing is that these leaders are pushing people to oppose the President and should the President fail, the leaders still have their health care while those they pushed suffer the sad reality of bad health care.

Have you heard the argument that government cannot run anything, well let me enlighten you, you are the GOVERNMENT, those in Public office work for you not you working for them. Its sad how the politicians are making people do crazy things and all this noise, the politicians work for the people, the population is the boss not thee politician. Picture this, when these politicians want to run for public office, they campaign (an interview) people elect them by voting for them (selection process) and then they work for the people. It is that simple, you are the boss not the employee, act like a boss and let these politicians be responsible by doing what is right not what wins political points.

Well, as my father always said, those who are easily convinced of evil are those who are convinced but need someone to confirm. Check the motives of your Senators, is it not funny that they say that Government cannot run anything then when someone with a touching story speaks out they say that their office will help that person. Are they not the government? to suggest that the Senators office will help out is merely stating that the Government will help, do you think the Senator will use his own money form his pocket? what a joke that will be. How is this for thought, if you pay taxes, does that not mean you are paying for services that should be delivered to you, should health care not be one of them?

A Non Pundits View

<meta equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; some media outlets know how to spin issues, they twist situation or stories to represent what they want to show & the news they want to sell. Every news outlet claims to be the best, this suggests that the sells pitch is right & more people are watching that outlet more than any other competing outlet.

I am no Pundit; I am just one who seeks the truth & one who wants news media, politicians & all players in the game to be forthright. There is nothing wrong with tell people that “this is our perspective & this is how we see this issue” but it is out of order to sell a lie or half truth to people. How I wish ratings did not influence the news we get and how we get it, how I wish.

Senator Obama & Senator McCain are locked in a fierce fight for the Whitehouse; they both seem to be working harder than ever. Mud is being thrown left right & center, half truths now rule the air waves & the race has just become an issue of who throws the most mud. I must give credit to Senator Obama & his team for not blasting Sarah Palin to the degree she is blasting Senator Obama.

Is this election about Character, ones past jobs, emotional issues or is it about the issues that the American people are going through? Everyday I watch the news Medias & I am shocked at what is being talked about, should people be told what to vote on, should there be a question of who to vote for? I submit that the issues do not sell so why should media outlets talk about them.

If someone was to make the mistake to ask me what I think the questions this election cycle should ask, my answer would be;

Iraq – Why did America go into Iraq & is the war benefiting the American Public?

Iraq – Why has it taken this long for Iraq to assume responsibility?

Iraq – With its rich oil, does Iraq have a trade deal with the country it “freed”?

The Economy - Why is the biggest economy in such a mess?

The Economy - Should people trust Republicans after hat they have done?

The Economy – How many more banks will fail this year alone?

While Senator McCain boosts of the Surge, he should first answer why the war was waged.

While Sarah Palin speaks of being a different candidate, her attacks on Obama are from the Washington Rove Playbook.

Politics should not be about who is right or who is wrong but it should be about how best to serve the people. Seems this is proving difficult for a lot of Politicians, everyone looks at what they will get out of an issue then they align themselves in a winning corner.

Everyone? Well maybe just about everyone. The media also helps play the game, their interest are ratings, yes ratings. Being a keen news worm has shown me so many different issues on the numerous news channels out there. CNN, Fox & BBC are the top of my list, not because they are good, they just are there to watch.

With Politicians bickering at each other you would think that the media will help the people by “keeping the honest” as CNN Anderson Cooper says but it’s really disappointing that the media also has an agenda, good ratings. Not all news anchors want just the rating, some are really interested in the news & do their best but that only is true for so many.

Always the general public cannot do anything about all the rubbish that is fed to them & now the public cannot even turn to the media. In the generation of sound bites, we are sold what sells not the entire truth. Someone says something & the media take only the part that keeps us on seats edge, only that which sound good & have us glued to the news. It is disappointing, very disappointing that everyone who should look after the public has let them down.

Pundits have become the answer to everything; I wonder why the Pundits never run for office when they have all the answers. There there people, I am not saying that we should not have Political commentators, what I am saying is that the commentators have lost focus on how to report, it all about what they want people to know. The issues that matter to people have been replaced by rating, its all about the money & that’s what it’s always about.

I fear for future generations, we are eroding the simple things that make humanity great; we are taking away from their life the basic needs for civilization. To be civilized is to have the ability to interact with other human being in a humanly way that is acceptable. Now we give our own definitions to issues depending on what we want not what it should be.

In simple, money rules our lives now, we live for it & that makes it more difficult for us to be objective & stand for the truth. The love that we have developed for money is dangerous, I say back to basics, truth before fame & power.

Having an Opinion

My father has been an anchor in my life, he is not a men of many words but the few he has installed in me are life saving & worth a million dollars. The key advice he has always insisted that I know are:

Respect your opinions

Respect everyone opinion, even fools can make sense sometime

No one person has all the solutions to life serve God.

No one opinion is the best

Examine everything & only make a decision when you have researched every avenue

I will always be the sum total of my thoughts

I have always carried this with me, my fathers words have shaped my life, now I know I can never be single minded, I have to listen to all arguments in any situation.

I am neither Liberal nor Conservative; I am Liberal & Conservative on the various issues life throws in life. How can one afford to be only single sided? In politics one cannot afford to be just Liberal or of the right extreme or Conservative, the many issues we face & the many people that are affected, it does not help everyone being narrow minded.

Now more than ever the world is complex, we need to accommodate everyone & work together to achieve success in all that we do in this world. From Terrorism to immigration, these issues call for every perspective & opinion to reach an almost universal view. I can guarantee that no matter what decision Politicians make, as long as they are identifying with one side, the other side will always complain.

Being left or right winged has called for divisions, is has made us view anyone not in the same mind set as us as wrong & not important. That could not be far from the truth, every opinion counts, every opinion means something and can be the difference only if we can listen & tolerate each other.

First one is a citizen then a member of a party, we have allowed parties to divide people & yet what shocks me is the Politicians are always walking, sitting, eating & sharing their time together. While we all identify with a Party, Politicians appear to be against each other when in truth they care only about their success.

Be wise; listen to every opinion before drawing the line & closing the door on you decision about life issues especially Politics.

The root problem of wars

Have you ever taken time to ask why wars break out & what is the root cause for people to fight each other? Do you ever think that people could get along without any violence, fights & arguments?

Well, the truth of the matter is it might never happen, people will never get along 100% and arguments will remain a permanent fixture in our everyday lives. Human beings love having an opinion & as long as we have opinions we will always clash at a point & that will cause arguments.

Can we improve? Certainly, we can make choices to improve our view of other people & learn more to tolerate other people choices which can reduce arguments. We actually ought to see arguments as nothing more than an opinion, the minute we look at other people’s opinions as arguments, it is easier to spark wars that way.

Wars are basically a fight to be right, look at openly, people never fight if they are in agreement? Only people who disagree are those who fight. It would be a shock to hear that two people were talking about buying the same car & they fought because they agreed that it was a great car.

The more we tolerate each others view points the more we can move away from arguments. It takes one person to walk away or say that they understand another person’s view point just to avoid arguments yet we are so passionate that we will never back down.

THE ROOT OF WAR IS INTOLERANCE.

Dreams

I have often been told that i am too much of a dreamer & I should wake up & smell the coffee, this sounds bad doesn't it? I have been made to feel that dreaming is wrong & I should just accept things as they are because that is how they were meant to be.

I am too much of dreamer to accept that things just have to be what they are, I have made my mind & set myself to believe that dreaming will help me envision who & where I want to go & be. Dreaming is free, it is allowed & it will not deter me from going places or being what I want to be.

Dreaming enabled me to be positive when I had lost hope, they have kept me wanting more out of life than the average things that I had. When there was no hope for me to marry, my dreaming told me that I can marry & I can have a big wedding, I did.

When I talk about dreaming I do not mean going to bed at night & just letting your mind go, I mean meaningful thinking of what the future can bring & what I want my tomorrow to be like. Constructive thoughts about tomorrow, the future months & years to come can be accidental on who I become or I can dream who I want to be & be who I really want to be through hard work & perseverance. Dreams are free therefore dream & dream big.

The Role Of God Today

The biggest challenge men has faced & will ever face is not global warming but fitting God into the big picture & into our everyday lives. We seek to understand & when something in not within our realm of understanding we cast doubt & ridicule it as our defense for our ignorance.

We are developing at an alarming rate & because we think science & God do not agree we leave that which has anything to do with God & turn to science because scientist are there to explain. We cannot to read the biblical texts for more understanding because we have already made up our minds that we are free spirits therefore accepting God is to be ruled. We fail to see the relevance of God in today's society because we have the sole purpose to be our own people.

I am yet to meet people who don't swear by or on Gods name; I also await to see a day when God is not blamed for all the wrong that is in the world. We have substituted God with material items & we have a sense of fulfillment from our belongs; God has not part in our lives anymore. The very reasons we are running away from God is the very reason we need him. God has always given men the freedom of choice & we have mistaken that for our selfish need to rule ourselves & live carefree lives.

God is the pivot of all lives irrespective of what we think, in a very enlightened space in our minds we know & acknowledge him yet we fight him. We have statements like "cleanliness is next to Godliness" yet we think that God has no part in our lives nowadays.

Have we asked why we fight God so much? Muslims have no problem with their God, they will die for him, and Buddhists have an unquestionable respect & a profound respect for their God yet every other person who either believes in God or not struggles with the acceptance of what God actually does or is in our day. When God is acknowledged, societies can live together in peace & it also brings people together of all nations & beliefs. God was, is & will always be a great bring together of people of different backgrounds, colors & interests.

On the US bills reads "In God we trust", the British national anthem has a line that says "God save the Queen" South African Anthem has "Nkosi sikelela Africa" which interpreted id God Bless Africa. We have always known that God is there yet now we think we are too sophisticated for God. God still is our center piece, principals, values; morals are all centered on God. The fear & respect of God is a ground of societies & families and irrespective of what we want to believe, God will remain God, it's only in our interest that we acknowledge him for the sake of our morals.

What is racism?

Governor Edward G Rendell has stirred yet another issue on the race row. I think we should first ask what is racism, once we answer this question we need to ask if any comments about how people will vote in the US Elections reflect racism or not.

One definition states that Racism is prejudice or discrimination based on the belief that race is the primary factor determining human traits and abilities. Racism includes the belief that genetic or inherited differences produce the inherent superiority or inferiority of one race over another. ...

Based on that alone, I believe that the Governors statement was nothing less than racial, yes it was. Will this race issue go away now? I am thinking not, as long as Senator Obama remains black (which can never change) this issue is in for the long haul.

We can be grown up about this issue and avoid it, work together and be one or we can toss the issue out there like Governor Rendell did and make it larger than life. Yes Senator Obama is black, so what, is he not an American? It is time to grow up, lets address the issue of voting with the boundary of what race the nominee is.

During a CNN report, a guy came out I believe in Ohio and said that he cannot see how Senator Obama relates to him and he cannot see him being the guy that can have a drink with him that is why he supports Hillary Clinton, what a load of sweet talk. That was truly amazing rubbish, credit to him he picked a reason, bad it was one word short not calculated.

Iraq war & the American Economy

While Senator McCain is speaking of keeping the American Forces in Iraq with no deadline, the economy is taking a big hit and nearing collapse. I fail to see how Senator McCain would even go out with his plans and campaign to be a president.

The American people are paying for this war and funding it and it seems the Senator does not care of the crisis at home as he insists that more forces should be sent into Iraq which means more tax dollars to be channeled towards those troops. Really, is the Senator that blind, what should happen before he can see that the war is draining the nation? I guess his followers are billionaires who are not feeling the tough times because a true middle class American would be against this war.

With Iraq calling for the tax dollars on one end and Afghanistan on the other hand, America is stretched and this is the time to cut losses. If the war in Iraq has been a true success as Senator McCain and President Bush say then it is time for the Iraq's to lead their nation and protect their people. It is way past time and enough is enough, the men and women in uniform must now come back home to their families and get some form of life. More than enough tax dollars have been spent on this war and it is time this stops so that the American economy can be strong as it was before all this war.

To Senator McCain I say " its time to put the economy on the front page of your campaign plans and shut down the war in Iraq, families need their parents, children and nephews back from Iraq. Senator please let your economic advisers tell you the truth and listen to what the nation is saying not what you feel will appeal to the nation which needs an economic shake up."

Accepting human differencies

That will be the day, when people accept other people as they are without painting them to be what we want them to be not what they are. I cannot wait to just see or even hear of that moment when everyone swallows the fact that we are all different and that is what makes us who we are, our various and diverse way of doing things. It does not make anyone any better being different to the next person; it is simply what makes the world interesting and lovely.

I believe that the reason why we have so many acts of terrorism and violence is because we cannot take each other as we are. If we truly respected and accepted our differences then the Muslims and Christian will be able to co-exist in the same area without any violence or noise. When everyone accepts that the other person has an opinion and they can speak their opinion and leave it to me to either take it on board or not take it.

I love meat; red, white or whatever colour meat there is (I also love my vegetables) I will eat whatever food there is and in as much as I believe that meat is the best thing going, I have to also accept that they are people who think carrots and lettuce are the best things going in terms of food. It would be wrong for me to advocate that vegetables are wrong and only meat is the best thing going.

At one point in Africa about 10 years ago a man hit another man with a brick on the head for ordering beer that he deemed not manly. Why would a man just strike another man for ordering his favourite beer? I have read stories of people who have fought because one did not pronounce the others name correctly, some of people who disagree on directions then they fight. The fact that they have different opinion to them is equivalent to a fight yet it could mean that they both don’t know or one might be confused.

For whatever reason people do not agree, it is no reason to fight. We have to learn the art of taking each other as we are, yes they are things that are not acceptable due to moral or spiritual issues but fighting will not make that person accept you. We can be different and still live together as one, at the end of the day we are all human beings no matter where we come from we are the same flesh and breathe the same air. I believe that planet earth is the only planet where men can live naturally so we might as well get along.

Yes we have different cultures, different backgrounds which bring about different passions which make us human, why fight about that. My colour should not exempt me from anything neither should my faith. Accepting that we are different does not mean that we are beneath anyone; it means we are different and that is the essence of being human.

The minute we accept that we are all different and yet can live together and build together our lives, that is the very time we will all be able to build a better world and stop all the wars. We can share our different resources and be more accepting and celebrate our differences not kill each other for those differences. What makes the world a diverse and beautiful place is the different features in different places all over the countries and continents, imagine the whole world being just the city or town you were born.
