Imagine walking into Walmart for shopping, not for groceries but for ammunition, imagine just how that sounds, ammunition for a gun in a Walmart shop.
I was born in Africa, a gun is something that I would ever see on a Police Officer or Soldier and that was on TV. I am by no means primitive and I am surely as clever and bright as they come. You would be ignorant to call me a Liberal and an idiot if you ever thought I was Conservative, let me say that I do not carry a label. I am what I need to be when I need to be defined.
I am taking issue with the Gun issue in America, while I respect each Countries right to be unique and be themselves, they are issues no matter what Country they occur in that need to be addressed in any Country.
A Gun is a very dangerous tool, that is why it is used in wars, it is meant for harm not good. The most amazing thing in America is how the debate is on “if gun laws should be addressed” rather than “why need a gun anyhow”?
For me the fundamental question is why would one need a gun in a Country that is so great? Remember where I grew up, I have never felt at peace each time I visit America and pass through a fight. Its so scary to know that you can buy ammunition in a grocery shop, that is really scary. Who is your enemy? I really wonder what people think a gun is for.
In my books, if you are not a hunter, policemen/women, game ranger or soldier, you have no business carrying a gun. If it is defense in the case of burglary, get an alarm, if the gun is for when you are invaded, join the arm. Why a civilian would want to keep a gun in a free Country is beyond me, I am really not getting a valid reason why people should own guns with the exception of the groups I mentioned above.
Someone told me that America loves war that is why they have a very large army and own guns, then I did not even agree but now I believe it to be true. My vision of America has changes over the years, I am slowly losing respect for how business is done in the States, it does not display the greatness of the Country we all looked up to.
